iReliev TENS Unit+EMS review (Model ET 8080)

When it comes to wearable therapy industry, iReliev is a pioneer.  iReliev is  a very popular manufacturer of TENS units, and they also make best selling machines that can deliver both TENS and EMS pulses, such as the one we are reviewing.

In terms of features, this iReliev TENS and EMS unit comes with 14 different therapy modes, it is the model number ET 8080. There are 8 TENS modes for pain relief and arthritis, and 6 EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) modes for muscle conditioning, strength, endurance, exercise warm up and muscle recovery.

The device also offer 25 different intensity levels, that you can select from using the large display. And while you might not notice a lot of difference when going gradually from one level to another, it should be noted that the maximum level reach  80mA in output strength.

The large digital display makes it easy to switch between programs and modes, and change pulse settings. This unit also comes with a dual-channel functionality, which makes it possible to use up to 4 electrode pads at the same time. The iReliev TENS+EMS also comes with 4 small pads, and 2 big pads. Small pads are designed to be used on areas such as feet, knee, shoulder, and wrist. while the larder ones are meant to be used on the abs and the back. The pads are adhesive and reusable, and although some users said that they tend to roll up on the ends over time; they are still of a high quality and will last provided that you follow the application and storage instructions.

Like many units made by iReliev, this TENS unit is  very small and lightweight. Which makes it very convenient if you want to carry the device with you.  This model also has the advantage of being powered by a rechargeable battery, and you don’t have to worry about having a spare set of batteries with you in case the battery runs out. To fully recharge the battery, it takes between 2 to 3 hours.  The battery life is also great, with users reporting more than 8 hours of continuous use with 4 pads on a high intensity level.

The iReliev TENS + EMS also comes with a 2 year limited warranty upon registration of the device. Which is a good thing, considering a lot of the cheaper TENS units tend to stop working after a few months. iReliev is also a company that stands with their product, and offer great support in case you might need any help for using their devices.

Conclusion:

The iReliev TENS and EMS (Model ET-8080) is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a high quality device that can offer both TENS and EMS. But it’s relatively more expensive in comparison to other devices, which may discourage people who never tried TENS and who are not sure if TENS will work for them.
